Protection Field Coordinator - Kamianske, Dnipropetrovska oblast
Under the supervision of the National Protection Manager (MHPSS/GBV), the Protection Field Coordinator will work to fill any staffing gaps within the protection team. The Protection Coordinator will lead all Protection project implementation, developing workplans, spenddown plans, HR plans and input into BVA meetings, providing technical lead to quality and effective program implementation (including supervising activities, M&E, reporting), coordinate with key actors, set up and monitoring accountability mechanisms, facilitate learning within the project. Provide technical support and guidance to ensure good quality implementation of projects in line with the operations GBV Strategy and global GBV and MHPSS standards.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Conduct capacity building and/or mentoring activities for project staff. More specifically, mentor staff involved in the project and clearly define training needs of staff and ensure they are able to access training and professional development resources appropriate to their skill gaps/needs.
- Communicate regularly with National Protection Manager to discuss activity planning and implementation.
- Attend regional protection Cluster, working groups and GBV AoR with other international agencies when relevant.
- Provides technical guidance and support to the team with all needed information.
- Participate in the implementation of basic case management with psychosocial support and gender-based violence programs in the designated locations of the project.
- Protection Field Coordinator, actively participate in the development of the plan of activities at the centre for WGSS.
- Creates and regularly updates reports of cases and outreach activities.
- Ensure proper use of forms and confidential referral follow up.
- Maintains, organizes, and regulates the reporting documentation, internal and external documentation of the project.
- Plan and manage the procurement of all necessary equipment and materials for Protection team.
- Responsible for communication with service providers for the proper functioning.
Requirements:
- Experience of GBV case management and PSS
- Experience of working with protection information management systems
- Understanding and demonstrated ability and experience of training others on international standards related protection and GBV.
- Experience of establishing monitoring and accountability mechanisms
- Experience of rolling out safeguarding training and participating in investigations
- Demonstratable ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, tasks efficiently in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
- Verbal and written fluency in English is required.
- Demonstrable experience of working in conflict/volatile security contexts
- Excellent time management skills, resourcefulness, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work virtually with team members.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to think critically and creatively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages including PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc.
