About the job
The Health and Safety Specialist ensures smooth management of labour protection and fire safety functions, particularly for Ukrainian HMA staff based in Mykolaiv, and supports any other locations according to the legal requirements.
Specific duties and responsibilities:
- Organization of the company’s activities in the areas of labour protection and fire safety.
- Control over the compliance of the legal requirements, rules, norms, regulations, instructions as per labour protection and fire safety.
- Development of documentation and instructions for labour protection and fire safety according to the legal requirements;
- Development of measures to improve the level of labour protection and fire safety within the organization.
- Organization and conduct of initial and periodic trainings on labour protection and fire safety.
- Reporting on labour protection and fire safety according to legal requirements. Participation in the investigation of workplace accidents.
- Control over the provision of employees with uniforms.
- Monitoring the condition of workplaces and their compliance with legal requirements on labour protection and fire safety.
- Cooperation with inspecting government bodies (inspections).
Requirements:
- Higher education.
- Work experience in the profession is not less than 2 years.
- Thorough knowledge of the Law “On the labour protection”, the Code of Civil Protection of Ukraine, regulations, orders, rules, standards, norms, regulations and other documents regarding the labour protection, fire safety.
- Proven experience of inspections by control authorities.
- Ability to learn and to work with a large amount of information.
