Ambulance Driver / سائق سيارة إسعاف

 Job Purpose

The Ambulance Driver’s primary role is to safely transport DCA staff, equipment and other materials as required and to ensure the ambulance is clean, well maintained and ready for operational use. The Ambulance Driver will also assist the Medic as required with loading and offloading equipment, participate in CASEVAC training and exercises, and undertake other duties related to the safe operation of the ambulance.

تتمثل المهمة الرئيسية لسائق سيارة الإسعاف في النقل الآمن لموظفي منظمة المساعدات الكنسية الدنماركية والمعدات والمواد الأخرى حسب الحاجة، وضمان بقاء سيارة الإسعاف نظيفة، ومُصانة بشكل جيد، وجاهزة للاستخدام التشغيلي في جميع الأوقات.

كما يدعم سائق سيارة الإسعاف المسعف عند الحاجة في تحميل وتنزيل المعدات، ويشارك في التدريبات والتمارين الخاصة بإخلاء المصابين، بالإضافة إلى تنفيذ المهام الأخرى المرتبطة بالتشغيل الآمن لسيارة الإسعاف.

Functional Responsibilities

• Drive the ambulance as directed by the Medic.
• Be familiar with the CASEVAC route from each task site as briefed by the Team Leader.
• Be aware of and adhere to Syrian traffic regulations and the DCA Driving and Vehicle Policy.
• Must not drive unauthorized personnel in DCA vehicles.
• Ensure that seatbelts are always used by all passengers.
• Drive in a manner that respects other road users and supports the safe and appropriate use of the vehicle.
• Ensure the ambulance is fueled, clean, maintained and ready for operational use.
• Ensure that the ambulance and its contents are kept secure, including locking doors and closing windows when appropriate.
• Assist with small purchasing tasks as required.
• Ensure that the necessary vehicle documentation, emergency equipment and repair equipment are carried in the ambulance.
• Work in collaboration with other team members and follow the guidance and instructions of the Team Leader.
• Be a role model for diversity and inclusion and contribute positively to team spirit.
• Always maintain professional conduct as a representative of DCA and act accordingly.
• Work within the framework of DCA’s core values.
• Act as an ambassador for DCA.
• Participate in meetings where relevant.
• Work in compliance with DCA’s Policies, including but not limited to, Equal Opportunities, Code of Conduct and Dignity at Work Policies.
• Undertake and apply learning from appropriate training and development programmes.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Perform daily checks on the ambulance and report any required repairs to the Team Leader and Logistics Officer.
• Discuss necessary fueling, maintenance, and servicing activities with the Logistics Officer in good time.
• Record details of each journey and refueling in the vehicle log sheet daily.

التقيد التام بقوانين وأنظمة المرور السورية وبسياسة القيادة والمركبات المعتمدة لدى المنظمة

عدم نقل أي أشخاص غير مخولين باستخدام مركبات المنظمة

التأكد من استخدام جميع الركاب لأحزمة الأمان في جميع الأوقات

قيادة المركبة بطريقة آمنة تحترم مستخدمي الطريق الآخرين وتضمن الاستخدام السليم للمركبة

التأكد من تزويد سيارة الإسعاف بالوقود بشكل كافٍ والحفاظ على نظافتها وصيانتها وجاهزيتها للاستخدام التشغيلي

ضمان أمن وسلامة سيارة الإسعاف ومحتوياتها، بما في ذلك إغلاق الأبواب والنوافذ عند الضرورة

المساعدة في تنفيذ بعض مهام الشراء البسيطة عند الطلب

التأكد من وجود جميع الوثائق المطلوبة للمركبة، ومعدات الطوارئ، وأدوات الإصلاح داخل سيارة الإسعاف

العمل بروح الفريق والتعاون مع أعضاء الفريق الآخرين واتباع توجيهات وتعليمات قائد الفريق

تمثيل قيم التنوع والشمول بشكل إيجابي والمساهمة في تعزيز روح الفريق

التنسيق مع مسؤول اللوجستيات بوقت كافٍ بشأن احتياجات المركبة من الوقود أو الصيانة أو الخدمة الدورية

تسجيل تفاصيل جميع الرحلات وعمليات التزويد بالوقود يومياً في سجل المركبة المعتمد

Your Profile

As a person we expect that you resonate with our purpose, and we imagine you have the following as minimum required knowledge & experience: 

• Primary School Certificate.
• Valid Driving License Type C.
• At least one year of driving experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication skills.
• Organized and able to work under pressure.
• An understanding of INGOs and a commitment to humanitarian work is an added asset.
